Cancer Care Services
Medical Oncology
You’ll find the latest treatments available at Beverly Hills Cancer Center. To maximize efficiency, we custom-tailor the newest chemotherapy and treatment protocols for each patient. This helps maximize patient response and cure rates while minimizing side effects. Our services include:
Chemotherapy – This common cancer treatment involves the use of chemical agents to stop the growth of cancer cells. Chemotherapy can eliminate cancer cells throughout the body, which makes it a systemic, or body-wide treatment. In addition to treating cancer effectively, chemotherapy ultimately helps people enjoy fuller, more productive lives. Beverly Hills Cancer Center can also prevent or control the variety of negative side effects associated with chemotherapy. Our specialized staff and chemotherapy nurses coordinate chemo infusions in an open, relaxing environment where they closely monitor side effects and patient progress. We tailor treatments to each individual patient to maximize efficacy, patient response and cure rates while minimizing side effects.
Hormonal Therapy – Hormone therapy is another form of systemic therapy. It is most often used as an adjuvant setting, after radiation or surgery to reduce the risk of cancer recurrence. It is commonly used in the treatment of breast and prostate cancers.
Immunotherapy – Also called biological therapy or biotherapy, immunotherapy uses the body’s immune system to combat cancer. It stimulates your immune system to do its job more effectively. And it uses certain parts of the human immune system to fight diseases, including cancer. It does so by:
- stimulating your immune system to work harder or more effectively
- giving your immune system specific components, such as man-made proteins, to help it function more effectively
Immunotherapy is sometimes used by itself to treat cancer, but it is most often used along with other treatments to boost its effects.
In-House Pharmacy – To help provide our patients with complete quality care, we also have an in-house pharmacy, one more way make your care as efficient and convenient as possible.
