If you have an HMO insurance plan, a referral will be required to receive care at the Beverly Hills Cancer Center. This referral comes from your primary care physician (PCP) and/or specialist in your insurance network. If you don’t see your insurance listed below, don’t worry. Call us and ask for one of our insurance specialists who will be able to answer any questions.
For HMO patients, the referring physician is usually a member of the same medical group or IPA as the Beverly Hills Cancer Center. A medical group is an association of physicians, hospitals and other health care providers that contract with an HMO to provide the HMO’s enrollees with health care. It is possible that an “out of network” one-time second opinion can usually be obtained.
If you are an HMO patient and would like to find out if your primary care physician is able to refer you to the Beverly Hills Cancer Center, call to speak with one of our insurance specialists. Even if the medical groups do not align, our insurance financial counselors can guide you to the help you need.
